Anselmo’s continuing travel saga

Reverge and Chicken Anselmo pose with General Jack Dailey after a tour of the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.. Gen. Dailey is the director of the facility that is the most-visited museum in the world.

As of Monday, Dec. 21, the Anselmo’s left their Huey chopper stateside and flew to Bermuda via Virgin Air where they are staying at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel. On their way to the hotel they were told that they had just missed a hurricane the previous day. “We missed all the bad weather by the skin of our teeth,” said Chicken. Even though it is very windy and rainy the temperature is currently 68°.

In Bermuda, Reverge will be attending TARS (The Agricultural Regulatory Services) business. TARS is a legal defense insurance policy that will provide $250,000 of defense coverage for alleged environmental infractions.

The couple had previously spent several days at Reverge’s home in Greenwich, Connecticut.  The beautiful home (photos on our website) is where Reverge grew up and the house has been in the family for over 40 years. (Readers can also rent or purchase at the ranch the movie, Stateside directed by Reverge, which shows the inside of the home). During the Connecticut stopover, the couple visited with several of Reverge’s friends from grade school, all of whom have at one time or another come for a visit at their Inwood ranch.

The night before they left, it had snowed several inches in Connecticut and New York so they were not sure they were going to make it out. “The weather has been really cold here, but not too windy,” said Chicken. “We had to buy warmer coats in Washington D.C.” Chicken said that while they were at the house they were getting plenty of rest and Reverge had been cooking.  “Yes, we have both put on a few pounds,” said Chicken.

Chicken said that a new coffee table book that was put together by some of their guests about their ranch arrived at the Connecticut home. “After looking at the pictures in the book, it has made me really miss my animals, especially my goats. I should be having baby lambs drop real soon. I know I will miss the early days when they are so cute!” The Anselmo’s loved the book so much they purchased 25, and they are currently available for purchase in the gift shop at the Vineyards.

After Bermuda, they hope to be in Paris for Christmas.

    Hello Chicken and Reverge,

My wife and I live (as the helicopter flys) about two miles south of you. First, we applaud your lobbying efforts regarding the MJ problem in our area. Two summers ago the nationals were rousted only a couple of miles (Lack Creek area)from our 7.5 acres that butt up to a large swath of wild BLM land. Unfortunately no one was apprehended.

I’d like to meet with Reverge to discuss our solar service. Currently the rate before federal and utility rebates range from 6.50 (less than 20 kw) to 6.25 per watt (20 or more kw).

Thanks again for your contribution to the neighborhood.
